

Kenny joined the US Army in 1972. After his military service, he came home and started working for the Rock Island Railroad and started a family with Patti. In 1986 he moved to Las Vegas Nevada and started working in the casino/hotel industry where he had many titles with the most recent being a Slot Floorman. After leaving the casino industry, he entered the aviation industry until he retired to Florida in 2022. Kenny was a lifelong Kansas City sports fan and in retirement enjoyed watching rocket launches from his backyard in Florida.
He is survived by his two children, Krystal (Art) Stoddard and Lonnie Hopkins. Grandchildren, Sydney, Sierra, Logan, Kaitlin, Riley and Parker. Great grandchildren, Blake and Kailee and his brother David. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Ronald and Terry.
Services and Viewing are scheduled for 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at the Chapel Hill Butler Funeral Home. 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, 66112. Burial immediately after at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
