

LaQuita McCarley, 85 passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025 at her home in Kansas City, Kansas surrounded by her loved ones. Born on September 25, 1940 in Howard, Kansas, LaQuita lived a full and meaningful life marked with dedication to family.
She lived a life filled with love, family, and kindness. She devoted her time to her family and extended family members as she welcomed everyone with open arms. She was deeply proud of each of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and took joy in their accomplishments.
LaQuita and her beloved husband William “Bill” Williams of 25 years shared 8 children together and resided in Shawnee, Kansas. She was a waitress at Sambo’s Restaurant for many years, then worked at Birdview Satellite Systems and Airport Systems in Olathe, Kansas for 10+ years, and Names & Numbers in Pittsburg, Kansas for 8 years before retiring. She enjoyed ceramics, bowling, playing cards, crafting, adult coloring books, puzzles, garage sale shopping for jewelry to add to her collection, and most of all spending time with her family.
LaQuita is survived by one brother, Larry Hull (Sylvia); two sisters Mona Laws and LaMona Bentzinger (Chuck); seven children, Diana Sauser, Roger Williams, Mitchell Williams, Mark Williams, Michael Williams (Twilla), Tina Bills (Russell), Tonya Randall (Bo); 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first love, William “Bill” Junior Williams, and was blessed to a beloved second husband, Clarence Lynn McCarley (married 5 years); brothers Clyde “Shorty” Hull & Ricky Hull; daughter, Sheila Delp; daughter-in-Law, Frances “Fran” Williams; granddaughter, Carolyn Kay Williams-Cottier; grandson, Brandon Logsdon and parents Raymond “Mutt” & Marjorie Juanita Hull.
LaQuita leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
A visitation will be held at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, located at 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas, 66112, on November 20, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at the same location, starting at 12:00 pm.
The graveside service will be Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens, 23215 W. 75th Street, Shawnee, Kansas, 66227.
