Larry Cecil Jellison

Larry Cecil Jellison, 71, Tonganoxie, Kansas, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. The memorial service will be 11 am Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Quisenberry Funeral Home in Tonganoxie. The family will receive friends for 1 hour before the service. Memorials are suggested to the American Legion Post #41 Tonganoxie, Kansas. A private burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Garden in Kansas City, Kansas. Larry was born February 11, 1944 in Salina, Kansas, the son of Cecil and Beatrice (Freeman) Jellison. He served in the United States Navy and retired from the United States Postal Service as a truck driver. He was a life member of the American Legion Post #41, in Tonganoxie Kansas. He was united in marriage on July 19, 1976 in Kansas City, Kansas to Julia Shewey, she survives of the home. He was preceded in death by his son Tony Jellison; his granddaughter, Brittany Karene Cunningham. Other survivors include; one son, Jared (LaNetta) Jellison, Gravois Mills, Missouri; one daughter, Jenifer (Ross) M. Kramer, Kansas City, Kansas; two sisters, Barbara Runyon, Lenexa, Kansas; Phyllis Boos, Salina, Kansas; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; daughter in law, Jenna Edwards; and his dog Buddy.
