Laurie A. Pritchard, 49, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011 at her home in Kansas City, Kansas. A Life Celebration Service will be 4:00 p.m., Saturday, November 19th, with a gathering of friends beginning at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, all at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the family, care of the funeral home. Laurie was born September 20, 1962 in Kansas City, Kansas to Robert and Betty Jean (Joplin) Pritchard. She was a lifelong area resident, running print machines for various local companies and was a Bagger for Certain-Teed for the last 3 years. She was a member of Local 41 of the Warehouse and Trucker’s Union, and she loved scrapbooking, riding motorcycles, and her dogs. She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her mother, Betty Champagne of Kansas City, Kansas; 2 children, Rick Pritchard and wife Ashley of Spring Hill, Kansas and Samantha Cornelison and husband Randy of Kansas City, Kansas; 1 step-son, Mitch Lipp and wife Crystal of Kansas City, Kansas; long-time friend, Robert “Bud” Wells of the home; 10 grandchildren, Taylor Pritchard, Caleb Meyers, Alyssa VanCamp, Megan Hill, James Gosling, Robert Gosling, Ryan Gosling, Caden Lipp, Cameron Lipp, Chandler Lipp and Kirsten Lipp; 1 great-granddaughter, Myah; 3 brothers, John Allen and his wife Brenda, Mike Allen and Ron Allen; and 1 sister, Pam Hallier and her husband Mike.
