Vera Loydena Lumley (Loy) was born October 23, 1938 to Vera and George Lloyd McCracken. She passed from this earth on March 24, 2021.

When working at Fasone’s, Loydena was known for dressing to the nines from head to toe and taking care of business! Later on in life Loy enjoyed the simple things: like waking up to her morning coffee, sweet roll and newspaper, grocery shopping, lunches out, having dinner conversation with friends and the occasional filet mignon in the dining room. She also looked forward to Sunday brunches with family and friends and frequent visits with her grand dog Penny. For the last several years she enjoyed living at Town Village of Leawood where she was everyone’s favorite because she was such a good listener with a kind and gentle spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers: Doc, Dee and Don, 3 sisters: Coleen, Daphene and Okema, and her husband George Lumley Jr.

Loy is survived by her 4 children: George Lumley III, Terry Imperiale, Richard Lumley (Valerie) and Judy Mechanic (Sue). Also grieving are her siblings: Dal, Dan, Sabra and Dixie; her 9 grandchildren: Kyley, Ashley, Blake, John, Amber, Tiffany, Richard, Lindsey, Courtney; 5 great grandchildren: Cameron, Carter, Olivia, Harper, Dylan and Theo is on his way making 6.
