Margaret "Peggi" E. Dykes

Margaret “Peggi” Dykes, 67, passed away December 6, 2014. A memorial visitation will be held December 12th from 5:00-7:00PM at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112.

Peggi was born September 5, 1947 to Richard and Pearl (Shemwell) Anderton. She spent her life in Kansas City, graduating from Washington High School. On July 13, 1996 she married Odis Dykes. She worked at JC Penney before retirement. Peggi enjoyed playing cards and different games with her family and friends but especially loved cooking for them.

Peggi was preceded in death by her father and mother. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Odis; children, Tony Mendez, Alicia Sickman, Debbie Mendez, Bobbie Mendez and step-children, Ronald Dykes and Bob Dykes; sisters, Gaynel Wald and Kathleen Casey-Shaw; grandchildren, Ashton Sickman, Jade Sickman, Kyle Mendez, Kayla Knox, Nicholas Mendez, Paul Dykes, Charlotte Dykes, Christina Mendez and Robert Mendez; great grandchild, Naveen Knox; nieces, Laura Reynolds, Amanda Pack, Kara Di Giorgio; and great nephew, Derrik Reynolds.
