

A visitation for Marie will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, KS 66112, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Marie F. Hendricks, was called to rest February 17th, 2023. She was a beloved loving Daughter- Sister- Wife- Mother- Grandmother and Great Grandmother and dear friend. Marie attended Abbott Grade School, Northwest Jr. High and Wyandotte High School.
Marie worked five years as a cashier at Electric Theatre, and she was a lead lady at Midland MFG CO for ten years, followed by two years as a cut-in artist at Intercollegiate Press. Marie enjoyed going with her daughter to Las Vegas many times with friends Gail and Sarah joined and the three took many trips for the Christmas shows in Branson Mo. She also loved going to the casinos which her daughter Linda took her every Wednesday for many years. Marie also loved to tell jokes some old and some new. She was a fun person who will be missed.
After Marie retired, she looked after her step grandson Travis Metsker from age four to thirteen. Marie also cared for her special boy Craig, her gentle giant Rayan from six weeks to sixteen years old, then her real surprise Eric until he was sixteen years old. Along with raising her own two children Linda and Kerry, those were very happy times!
Marie leaves behind to remember her dearest daughter Linda Kathleen McCoy, her grandsons Johnny Forbes, Craig, Ryan, Eric Hendricks, step grandson Travis Metsker and his four children Caleb, Sophia, Brock, Alexia, daughter in-law Rose Ann Hendricks, plus three great grandchildren, Logan who visits her often and made her laugh, and Harper and Jackson Hendricks.
Marie lost her dear loving husband Ralph T. Hendricks in 1990, after forty three happy years, and her only son beloved R. Kerry Hendricks in 2013. Proceeded Marie in death her mother Cora Alice (Sherman) Hall. Her father Joseph Alexander Hall, sister Viola Dooley, brother in-law Monroe Dooley, her brother Van Hall area business man, artist and soloist for thirty one years at First Pilgrim Church, and many dear friends who have gone on before her. Marie loved all of her family and friends.
