

Mary Ann Monahan-Millert, 87, of Kansas City, KS, passed away Friday, January 7, 2011 at The Sweet Life at Rosehill. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3024 N. 53rd Street Kansas City, KS 66104. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, where the Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to: The American Cancer Society, 6700 Antioch Road, Suite 100, Merriam, KS 66204. Mary Ann was born January 12, 1923, in Yates Center, KS to James and Lula Mae (Herold) Kramer. She was retired from Sunshine Biscuit Co. She loved to quilt, work in her flower garden and play cards and bingo. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and its Go-Getters and Solos Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John Kramer and Howard Kramer; her husband of 35 years John Monahan; and second husband of 15 years, Julius Millert. She is survived by three brothers, James Kramer, Arthur Kramer and Robert Kramer; daughter, Suzanne Millert and her husband, Dennis of Kansas City, KS; and son, John Monahan and his wife, Suman Rao of Rolla, MO; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
