Mary Florence Singleton

Mary Florence Singleton, 96, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026. Born on November 7, 1929, Mary lived a long life marked by faith, devotion, and unwavering love for her family.

Mary married Charles Robert Singleton on August 22, 1953, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in devotion and mutual respect. Together they raised four children, building a home filled with love, faith, and enduring family traditions. Before becoming a full time mother and wife, Mary proudly worked at the county courthouse for several years—a role she cherished and spoke of often with pride.

A devoted Catholic, Mary was a longtime parishioner at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She was active in parish life and volunteered for numerous church functions, offering her time, energy, and kindness wherever it was needed. Her faith was a steady anchor, reflected in her compassion, humility, and commitment to service.

Mary was deeply committed to her family. She played an active role in her children’s upbringing and continued that same dedication with her grandchildren and great grandchildren—helping raise them, guiding them, and celebrating every milestone with pride and joy. Her love was hands on, steady, and unconditional, shaping the lives of multiple generations.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles R. Singleton and her son Robert Ethan Singleton.

Visitation will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home,

701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, KS 66112,

on August 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.,

followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Mary will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
