Maudine Smith, 87, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away November 21, 2018. Graveside services will be 2:00pm, Wednesday, November 28th at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, with visitation from 1:00-2:00pm at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home preceding the service at 701 N. 94th St. in Kansas City, KS.
Maudine was born September 19, 1931 in Oklahoma to James and Maudie VanMeter. She was married over 40 years to Leland Smith. Maudine worked for Proctor and Gamble for 6 years; she then retired after over twenty years as a toll booth operator for KTA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leland Smith; her sons, Leon Gamble, Sr., and Bruce Gamble; as well as her siblings.
Maudine is survived by her son, Thomas James Gamble and his wife Deborah of KCK; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
