

Mary “Maxine” Johnson, 88, of Warsaw, Missouri, formerly of Kansas City, Kansas, passed January 3, 2012 at her residence. Funeral service will be 10:00, Monday, January 9th at Maywood Community Church, 11201 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, Kansas. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 3-5 p.m., Sunday at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Maywood Community Church.
Maxine was born December 29, 1923 in Wyandotte County, Kansas, the daughter of William and Mary Fleming. She was a homemaker and lifelong member of Maywood Community Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Jean Conwell & Doris Hammer and brother; Bill Fleming.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years: Ralph Johnson of the home; children: Marsha Rhodus and husband Gary of Big Canoe, Georgia, Bruce Johnson and wife Eldonna of Warsaw, Missouri & Connie Gebhart and husband Mike of Barnard, Kansas; grandchildren: Greg Rhodus and wife Geri, Brad Rhodus and wife Char, Ryan Johnson and wife Laurie, Kyle Johnson and wife Shelly, Dana Baker and husband Dustin, Matt Gebhart & Kelly Gebhart; 12 great-grandchildren: Amanda Mauldin, Kyle Mauldin, Marina Johnson, Macoy Johnson, Brock Johnson, Annie Johnson, Brooklyn Johnson, Alayna Baker, Sophie Baker, Claire Baker, Hannah Behrens and Alexis Bohm, 1 great-great-granddaughter: Kayleigh; and many relatives and friends.
