Michael Mike D. Ross

Michael “Mike” D. Ross, 57, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013, at his home in Kansas City, Kansas. Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas. Friends may call on the family from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. The family requests that any memorial contributions be made to The American Diabetes Association.

Mike was born November 19, 1955 in Kansas City, Kansas. A lifelong area resident, He attended Wyandotte High School, before joining the United States Marine Corps. He was a Driver for Hospital Linens Service for 15 years, before he retired in 2005. He was a real Movie Buff, even having several memorized, he loved listening to music, and he loved all kinds of animals, but especially his pets.

He was preceded in death by his father, James E. Ross.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Judy Ross of the home; his mother, Ruth Ross of Kansas City, Kansas; 2 daughters, Gaylynn Allen and husband Scott of Gardner, Kansas, and Lesa Castillo and husband Rick of Liberty, Missouri; his brother, David E. Colston and wife Susan of Kansas City, Kansas; his sister, Zelda McCowan and her husband Kenneth of Kansas City, Kansas; and 6 grandchildren, Blake Brown, Andresa Tinoco, George Castillo, Brittany Castillo, Gwyneth Allen and Fletcher Allen.
