Milford L. McCorkendale, 77, of Kansas City, Kansas, died Tuesday, November 26, 2013. Funeral Services will be 1:30 PM Friday, November 29, at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Avenue Kansas City, Kansas, visitation will precede from 12:00 Noon to 1:30 PM. Interment with Military Honors will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas. Memorials may be made to Toys for Tots.

Milford was born July 7, 1936, in Camden, Missouri. He was a veteran serving in the United States Marines. He was a member of the 83rd Street Baptist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Milford loved his classic cars, owning a custom 1970 Plymonth.

He was preceded in death by his father Everett, son Dwayne and 2 brothers. Milford is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol L. McCorkendale, son Jeff McCorkendale, 3 granddaughters; Briana, Brenna, Marsha, 4 great grandchildren; James, CJ, Nevaeh, Sadie, mother Laura M. McCorkendale.
