It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy JoAnn Eldredge, 63, who departed this world on August 14, 2026, after a courageous battle with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Nancy was born on January 6, 1963, in the welcoming city of Kansas City, Kansas, to loving parents Leo and Rosalie Erickson. She was the embodiment of strength, grace, and a vibrant spirit that touched everyone she knew. Nancy's formative years were marked by her exceptional academic achievements, graduating Summa cum laude from Schlagle High School in 1981. Her journey into adulthood was equally remarkable as she married her first love, Mark Martin, on December 8, 1984. Together, they built a life in Tulsa, Oklahoma, opening a chiropractic business and welcoming four beautiful children. After Mark's sudden passing in 1997, Nancy, demonstrating her resilience, returned to Kansas City with her children to be surrounded by family. In Kansas City, Nancy found love once more in John Eldredge, a kindred spirit she met while working at Nostrum Laboratories. They married on August 20, 2016, and shared an unshakeable bond, delighting in Mexican cuisine, especially margaritas, and exploring new destinations together. Nancy was a devoted mother to her children, Lindsey (Joshua) Hughes, Lauren (Matthew) Bolsinger, Spenser Martin, Tiffany Martin, Kourtney (Jake) Eldredge, and Kelsey Eldredge. She was a beloved grandmother to her 14 grandchildren: Kylley, Zachary, Isaiah, Zoee, Chaynce, Kash, Calvin, Charley, Granger, Owen, Mason, Ollie, Harrison, and Auggie. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her career journey saw her transition from a dedicated stay-at-home mother to managing the operations of the chiropractic practice she started with Mark. Later, her keen eye for detail led her to a successful career at Nostrum Laboratories as a document control coordinator, where she worked for 14 fruitful years. In her last year, she played an instrumental role in the transition to MPP Pharma, showcasing her unwavering dedication even in her final days. Nancy's life was enriched by her many passions. Known for her impeccable sense of style, she loved fashion and took great pleasure in coordinating each outfit with matching bracelets and shoes. Her nails, often painted in her signature Ferrari Red, were a testament to her flair. Nancy also had a creative side that shone brightest during her favorite holidays, Christmas and the 4th of July, when she would transform her home with her unmatched decorating skills. On crisp Autumn nights she enjoyed cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs with friends and family. Nancy also loved traveling, with her heart happiest when surrounded by her sisters at Daytona Beach or anywhere they gathered. Nancy is survived by her beloved husband, John Eldredge; her sisters, Sharon Brandt and Joyce Erickson (Linda Colliver); her children and their spouses; her grandchildren and lots of cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Leo and Rosalie Erickson, her first husband Mark Martin, and her daughter Erika Erickson. A celebration of Nancy's extraordinary life will be held on August 29, 2026. 1:00-4:00 PM at The Jewel KC-410 Admiral Blvd, KCMO 64106. Flowers accepted at the Jewel August 29th from 11am-12pm.
