

Naomi I. Jeffries, 83, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 2, 2011. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Naomi was born on April 12, 1927 in Kansas City, Missouri, to George Everett and Beulah I. (Leiser) Lasley. She was a life long resident of Kansas City, Kansas. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1944. She married Milton F. Jeffries in 1946, and to that union four children were born. Naomi was a lifelong member of Wesley United Methodist Church where she actively served. She was a volunteer at Bethany Hospital in the oncology unit. She was employed by Southwestern Bell for twenty years, and was a member of their Telephone Pioneers of America. Naomi is preceded in death by her parents, husband Milton F. Jeffries and her brother George Lasley. Survivors include her companion of over 20 years Jack Cramer of Kansas City, KS., three sons: Dean Jeffries (Barb) of Chesterfield, MO., Dan Jeffries (Gail) of Kansas City, KS., Dave Jeffries (Julie) of Olathe, KS., daughter: Debbie Wilson (Gary) of Emporia, KS., sisters: Martha Warner of North Carolina, Pauline Coker (Larry) of Texas, and brother: Edward Lasley of Merriam, KS. Left behind to cherish her memory are her 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home. Interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at the Funeral Home.
