Nick Saragusa, 65, of KCK, passed away March 27, 2013. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 2nd at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1086 N. 94th St., KCK. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, April 1st at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCK.
Nick was born November 11, 1947 in Kansas City, KS to John and Frances (Wills) Saragusa. A lifelong KC area resident, Nick graduated High School and later became a Patrolman for the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department. After his work as a police officer, he opened a neighborhood bar called the Goose Club, where you could always sing along or dance to his favorite Elvis songs. In his younger years, Nick was a fantastic baseball player and later became an avid golfer. He loved restoring vintage cars and remodeling his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Frances Saragusa and his uncle Jack Wills. Nick is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Kathy Saragusa, of the home; daughters Bridgette Halterman and her husband Kevin of Tonganoxie and Toni Scott and her husband Harold of KCK; step-children, Mike Supica and his wife Stacy of KCK and Michelle Herron of Basehor, KS; two sisters, Donna Garvey and husband Jim of KCK and Pammy Mooneyhan and her husband Bob of KCK; grandchildren, Hanna and Haley Halterman, Ryan Saragusa and step-grandchildren, Austin Scott, Cade and Inara Supica and Gaby and Christianna Herron; nieces and nephews, Nici Jo, Jimmy John, Bobby and Megan as well as other friends and family.
