Norma a second cousin to me and Norman were super sweet folks they will be truly missed May God's comfort be with the family..

Norma was a classmate of mine at Washington High.  She is remembered as a quite, gentle girl with a beautiful smile/personality.  Our class has a monthly luncheon and we have got to enjoy them as a couple, most every month.  Both sweet caring people and go out of their way to help others. Phil worked with Norman many years barbering.  Norman  was a very giving and caring person and would help anyone that had car problems in the parking lot.  Linda and I, when we were dating, went out to eat just about every Saturday night at a buffet with Norma and Norman.  We always had a good time, and Norman kept us laughing with jokes. let me tell you about Norman, to me he was known as my Daddy Norm. My mother Norma met him around 1965 when i was about 5 and my sister Becky was 7. we were living in Moms parents house at the time in Kansas city Kansas. When they first started dating I immediately feel in love with him. He was a Kind, flambouyant, jolly and caring man who worshiped the ground my mother stood on. They soon married and we moved to overland park. Where he and my mother have lived since. Daddy Norm was the best stepfather I could have wanted. He was so inspirational to me and so many others that I consider him to be one of the greatest mentors in my life and im sure if you knew him you know what I mean. I will miss him like no other ;)     my mother Norma was in a league all of her own. Beautiful Dark haired and passionately in love with Norman and looking forward to celebrating their 50th anniversary in just a little over a year. Mom and Norm were the perfect couple. They will live in me and my sister for eternity. I would like to thank Dennis and Kathy Sather family for everything they have done for my parents. My Mother and Norms circle of life is now complete and they have made light shine on all of us. May they Rest in Peace

Norma and Norman have always been very special cousins.  Both of us got to spend a lot of time together with Norma as children and as adults and both of us even lived with her family, Aunt Gay and Uncle Ned, when we came to Kansas City.  We had many laughs and tears through the years watching our families grow.  You both are very special people and we love you both very much and you will be missed. To the family of Norman and Norma Russell, my thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. I know this loss leaves questions and pain I couldn't begin to imagine. The Russells' are an awesome family and I pray you all find peace in their passing.

I met Norman in 1957 when I started work with him and as an apprentice barber. Norman was an excellent barber and teacher and one of those that shared his knowledge. I would run into Norm & Norma, at different places and we would talk and share a joke or two. They were a couple who were always together and great together. I will miss seeing them but always be thankful that I knew them.

Grief is so hard at times like this. I will always cherish the wonderful memories I have of Norma. May God bless you Bobby and Becky and Norman's family in this time of sorrow. Please take comfort in knowing that there are 2 more guardian angels watching over you. In loving memory, always!

I knew Norman for over 30 years, he always had that great smile and was interested in others.  He took great care of me as a customer and reminded me that he advised me not to buy into a Beauty Shop as a silent partner and he was right and he would always kid me about it, he would say "now have you learned your lesson.....you need to pay attention to your Barber!"  He was a great guy, I last saw him about a year ago and he was doing great.  I will miss him.

I am so saddened by the death of Norma and Norman. They were delightful people and to lose them in such an unexpected way is a tragedy indeed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. May God comfort you in these difficult times.

Although my time with Norman & Norma was brief, I remember them as loving and caring people who were taken from us to soon.
