Peggy Ann Downs June 7, 1937-April 24, 2021. Linwood, Kansas.

Peggy, 83 years young passed away Saturday April 24, 2021 surrounded by loving family. Peggy was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Maude Lawrence and husband Ted Downs.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Marilyn Tilden (Ronald) of Edwardsville, KS, her daughter Connie Mosher (Roy) of Bonner Springs, KS, Son Ted Downs JR of Linwood, KS, and Son Johnnie Phillips of Longview, TX; 8 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Peggy was a bank teller supervisor for many years. After she retired from the bank, she went on to work part time as a cook for the school district 204 of Bonner Springs as well as assisted with the city of Linwood, KS.

Peggy loved to cook as well as spending time with family. Her family meant the world to her. She loved to joke around and spend time with all the kids even though they drove her nuts. She would even play ball with all the grandkids. People thought she was too old to be outside playing, but she was a feisty lady. She had a mind of her own, and whatever she set out to do she would accomplish.

Everyone called her grandma even if they weren’t really her grandkids. Peggy touched a lot of people hearts and was loved by many. She will be remembered for all the fun things she did, her smile, her laugh, and even her attitude.

Services will be held privately for immediate family only.
