Richard Lee “Dick” Vestal, 83, passed away September 19, 2013. A visitation will be held Sunday, September 22nd from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral. Funeral service on Monday, September 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Dick was born August 24, 1930 to Tom and Charlotte Vestal. He was born in Kansas City, KS as well as a life-long resident of the area. He was the owner and operator of Vestal Automotive for 51 years. Dick was a member of Eagles Club Area 87, Moose Lodge #1999 and Ducks Unlimited of Kansas City.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Richard Lee Vestal, Jr. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Faye Vestal; children, Bob (Patty) Vestal, David (Sandy) Vestal, Linda (Lee) Herbel, and Jeff (Jaime) Potts; siblings, Lorene Prewitt, Doris Ristow, Raymond Vestal, Lillian Bishop, Patti McElroy, Earl Vestal and Gary Vestal; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
