Ricky Brown was born on November 7, 1955 in Kansas City, Kansas to Ed and Winnie Brown. He came from a loving family and was the baby of the family. He was preceded by his brother Alphonso Sinclair, his sisters Willie Mae McDaniels, Ossie Lee and Nancy Lee.
He graduated from Sumner High School in 1973. He was an avid reader and loved to learn. He eventually went on to earn his master’s degree in marketing from MidAmerica Nazarene University.
Ricky retired from American Airlines in 2010 and was a proud union member. He enjoyed watching sports and spending time with his grandchildren. He was also a devoted church member and volunteered at the food kitchen with them also.
Ricky is survived by his son Aaron Brown and daughter Andrea Brown, grandchildren Necia, Jr and Ariel as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.
A visitation for Ricky will be held Monday, February 3, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at First Ame Church, 1111 N 8th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66101, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
