Robert Lee “D. J. Rob” Gardner, 40, of Greenwood, Mississippi, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Providence Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home. Robert was born December 23, 1970 in Greenwood, Mississippi, and was a graduate of Greenwood High School. Survivors include his father, Edgar Bolden; his mother, Annie R. Turner of Kansas City, Kansas; his wife, Shirlena Gardner of Greenwood, Mississippi; children, Dominic Williams of Carrolton, Mississippi, Breanna Meeks of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Shaniqua Cole of Greenwood, Mississippi, and Randell Cole of Greenwood, Mississippi; and 2 brothers, Willie James Gardner and his wife Wendy, and Frank Morel Turner and his wife Fern, all of Kansas City, Kansas.
