

Robert “Bud” Kuebelbeck, 85, passed away July 16, 2017. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wed., July 19th at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS 66112. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. preceding the service. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Vitas Hospice.
Bud was born June 28, 1932 in Kansas City, KS to Frank J. and Minnie E. Kuebelbeck. He graduated from Bishop Ward High School in 1950. Bud married his high school sweetheart, Donna Marie James and they enjoyed 49 years of marriage; she passed in 2001. He worked for over thirty years for Sears, Roebuck & Co. in home improvement sales. After retiring, he worked for Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home as a funeral assistant for eight years. Bud was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved watching the Royals, Chiefs, and especially the KU Jayhawks Basketball team. However, Bud’s fondest memories were his time spent with his beloved family down at the Lake of the Ozarks and Branson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Donna Kuebelbeck; and his brother, David Kuebelbeck.
Bud is survived by his children, Bobby Kuebelbeck and his wife Sharon of Basehor, Ron Kuebelbeck and his wife Georgia of Shawnee, Cheryl Bleam and her husband Ken of Leavenworth, David Kuebelbeck and his wife Michele of Shawnee, and Lisa Butler and her husband James of KCK; his brother, Frank Kuebelbeck and his wife Nancy of KCK; his sister-in-law, Carol Seuferling and her husband Bob of Olathe; as well as eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and four great great-grandchildren.
