Darrel peacefully passed away on December 16, 2025, at home in Marble Falls, Texas. He was surrounded by family. He lost his battle with cancer, but we are thankful that he is no longer in pain and is walking with Jesus.
He was born in Kansas City, KS on October 13, 1958, to Wesley Darrel and Roberta Winifred Williams. Darrel attended Schlagle High School and Johnson County Community College before working at the General Motors Fairfax Plant for 30 years. He had completed his apprenticeship as a machinist and was in skilled trades.
He loved riding his motorcycles and restoring his 1963 Chevrolet step-side truck. He also enjoyed playing his violin for the church praise team at Cross View Baptist Church in Marble Falls and was also a member of the Prickly Pear country duo with his friend Bill Robertson.
He was preceded in death by his parents. His survivors are his spouse, Cherie, daughter, Brandy (Chad) Estes of Kansas City, Kansas, Wesley S. (Becca) Williams of Leander, Texas, daughter, Allison (Jacob) Tollefson of El Dorado, Kansas. He is also survived by granddaughters, Keegan and Mackenzie Greenlee and his great-grandson, Paxton. He also leaves behind his twin cats, Jack and Bear.
The visitation will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 701 N 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas, at 10:00 am on December 23, 2025, with the funeral to follow at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cross View Baptist Church, P.O. Box 412, Marble Falls, Texas 78654.
Pallbearers will include Bill Seber, Tim Hachinski, Wesley Williams, Jacob Tollefson, Chad Estes, and Kim Williams.
