Robin Renee Galvin-Richardson, 56, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away March 16, 2018 at home surrounded by family. A visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 pm, Sunday, March 25th at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS 66112. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Monday, March 26th at the Cathedral of St. Peter, 409 N 15th St, Kansas City, KS 66102. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS 66112.
Robin was born May 4, 1961 in Kansas City, Kansas to Eugene Lee and Georgia Galvin. She attended Blessed Sacrament, Bishop Ward, and Wyandotte High School, and grew up attending the Cathedral of St. Peter. Robin earned a certification in Cosmetology through a Wyandotte County program at Schlagle High School. She worked for many years at Snip n’ Clip, then worked for Regis, before opening up her own salon, Blondies. Robin enjoyed her family, going shopping, going to the casino, and traveling – especially going on cruises and road trips. Some of her favorite destinations were South Padre, Colorado, New York, and the Caribbean.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis L. Browne, her father, Eugene Lee Galvin, her sister, Angela Marie Ahumada, and her brother-in-law, Valentin Lobatos.
Robin is survived by her mother, Georgia Galvin of KCK; her fiancé, Terry Harris of KC, MO; her daughter Kellie McManus (Shawn) and their daughter, Autumn of KCK; her daughter, Madison Zabel of KC, MO; her brother, Michael Galvin of KCK; her sisters, Cheryl Galvin of KCK, and Kari Michelle Lobatos of KCK; as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
