

Ronald Ray Cooper, 69, of KCK, passed away August 13, 2017. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wed., August 16, 2017 at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS 66112, with visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. preceding the service. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MO 64145.
Ron was born June 21, 1948 in Springfield, MO to James and Esther (Teague) Cooper. He graduated from Ruskin High School in 1966. Ron worked for 53 years in the grocery industry; he was a store manager at Apple Market and a department manager at Happy Foods West until his passing. He was a member of Blue Ridge Baptist Temple. Ron loved gospel music, watching the Chiefs, Royals and KU Jayhawks basketball. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family and his good buddy, Steve and his wife Kim.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Esther Cooper; and his wife, Patricia Cooper.
Ron is survived by his twin sister, Loretta Hydeman; his brothers, Robert R. Cooper (Joyce), and James R. Cooper, Jr. (Cindy); his nieces and nephews, Amy Tatge (Steve), Brian Cooper, Sean Cooper (Jana), April Reilly (Louis), Erik Edmonds (Brie), and Macee Edmonds, as well as many other great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
