Rosemarie J. Sipes

Rosemarie Julia Sipes, 92, of Kansas City, KS passed away Saturday, October 31, 2009. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1086 N. 94th Street Kansas City, KS, followed by burial in Ft. Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home 701 North 94th Street Kansas City, KS. The Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, prior to Visitation. Rosemarie was born near Neola, Iowa to Jerry J. and Bernice (Ryan) Donovan. She married William L. Sipes in 1939. She worked as an X-Ray Technician and Office Nurse. Rosemarie was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in the Rosedale community of Kansas City, KS, the American Society of X-Ray Technicians and the Paul Revere Riding Club. She is preceded in death by her husband William, her sisters Patricia James and Kathleen Brandau and brother; Jerry Donovan.Survivors include her children; Dan Sipes (Barb), Jerry Sipes (Pam), Jean Steele (Kevin), Beverly Downs (Greg) and William E. Sipes; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
