Ruth A. Ussery

Ruth A. Ussery, 75, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016. Ruth was born December 14, 1940 in Kansas City, Kansas to Charles and Jennie (Jenesko) Foy. In 1957, she married Alva Ussery. Ruth worked at Manor Place Retirement Place for 18 years. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Ruth was actively involved in her children’s lives, coaching every sport they played. In her free time, she liked to watch the Royals but Ruth got the most joy from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alva; and brothers, Johnny and Clarence Foy. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Ussery; son, Gary Ussery; grandchildren, David and wife Sarah Ussery and Aaron and wife Kristina Ussery; and great-grandchildren, Lealand, Jase, Tatum Ussery and one on the way.

A graveside memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 19th at 11:30am at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to St. Luke’s Hospice, 3100 Broadway Street, Suite 1000, Kansas City, Missouri 64111.
