Ryan was born on January 17, 1960 in Kansas City, Kansas to Claude E. Dark and Betty Lou (Sheen) Dark. He was a long time resident of Kansas City and Turner area. Even in his later years, Ryan would drive to Turner to get his bottle of Coke and see the friends he had made at the gas station. Ryan spent most of his working career as a mechanic, and even after he was not working, would find the time to work on his and his families vehicles. Ryan also loved to watch the Kansas City Chiefs with his son every week. Even after his son moved out of the Kansas City area, he would make a point to visit Ryan and cheer on the Chiefs. Ryan also loved animals, especially his dear little dogs that he had over this lifetime.
Ryan was a kind-hearted man that overcame many obstacles through his lifetime. He was very laid back and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was loved by so many and will be dearly missed.
Ryan was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Mace and parents.
