Sandra Kay Ashley-Goepfert, 85 years young passed on January 18th 2025 at her current home in Atchison Kansas. Born April 9th 1939 to Arthur Vincent and Wilma June Ashley in Lawrence Kansas. Sandra attend Washington High School graduating in 1957 and then went on to marry Delbert Lee Goepfert on November 14, 1958. Then moving to Tonganoxie and raising 3 daughters Tammy Leigh Northern (Tim), Tracy Lynn Bartels, and Tiffany Louise Tull (Dennis). Her occupations included Kansas City Kansas school bus driver, Tonganoxie Senior Citizen Bus driver, and homemaker.
Sandra “Sandy” was well known for her love of garage sales (being the first one there), finding a bargain for resale or just to re-gift for someone that she thought of. She also enjoyed spending her spare time at their Lake of the Ozarks home where they resided for the last 24 years. Living her best life spending many of the days fishing or shopping some of the local thrift stores, or enjoying the many of her neighborhood friends.
Survivors include husband Delbert Goepfert of the home, daughter Tiffany Tull of the home, Grandchildren – Ashley Tull (John), Reed Bartels, Colton Gabriel, Canyon Tull and Great Grandchildren – Tyler and Jade Elifrits and Beckett Bartels
Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Art and Wilma Ashley, two daughters Tammy Northern, Tracy Bartels and two son in laws Dennis Tull and Tim Northern.
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested for the DogWood Animal Shelter Thrift Store, 251 Business Rte 5, Camdenton Missouri 65020.
A visitation for Sandra will be held Friday, January 31, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
Sandra will be laid to rest in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
