Sharon Annette Bock, aged 81, passed away at home on October 29, 2024, in Bonner Springs, Kansas. Born on February 8, 1943, Sharon lived a life rich with creativity and devotion to the natural world around her.
Graduating from Washburn University with a degree in Fine Arts and Secondary Education, Sharon was also a proud member of Zeta Tau Alpha and a Master Gardener. Her passion for art was evident through her works in sculpture, weaving, baskets, and three-dimensional designs crafted from handmade paper. Sharon's love for the arts was paralleled only by her love for life on the family farm, where she resided for over 50 years, cherishing every moment spent in nature with animals and serenity.
Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, Leonard; her children, Christopher (Lisa) Bock and Amy (Edward) Draper; and four cherished grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Beatrice Fase.
A graveside service to celebrate Sharon's life will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Kansas City, Kansas, at 10:30 am on Tuesday, November 5th. In place of flowers, we ask that contributions be made to Operation Wildlife in Linwood, Kansas, in her honor. Sharon's legacy of love, art, and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her.
