Sheilah Kaye Young, 49, of Kansas City, KS passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2019. Sheilah was born September 3, 1970 in Kansas City, KS. She was a 1990 graduate of the L.M. Alcott High School. Sheilah worked for the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Department as the County Clerk for 23 years. In addition, she was a proud member of the ASPCA, always looking for ways to help any animal in need.
Sheilah was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bill and Mary McCombs; her mother, Sharon Kaye Wilson; and her brother, Frankie Hulbert.
Sheilah was survived by her father, Steve Wilson of Kansas City, KS; her loving husband of 13 years, Davin Young of the home; two sons, Dustin McGinnis (Caitlin Allnutt) of Kansas City, KS and Corey Young of Burlington, KS; two daughters, Katie Young of San Antonio, TX and Karlie Young of Anderson, TX; two grandchildren, Jake and Blake; one sister Carli Karrick (Nick O’Dell); and one niece, Sandra; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to ASPCA or Operation Wildlife.
