Sherri L Skaggs

Sherri Lynn Skaggs, 42, passed away October 12, 2013. A visitation will be held Thursday, October 17th from 6:00-8:00 PM at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Friday, October 18th at 11:00 AM at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Providence Living Center, 1112 SE Republican Avenue, Topeka, KS 66607. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Providence Living Center for the excellent care, love and support that they showed not only to Sherri but also to the family.

Sherri was born July 7, 1971 to Joseph Amos Skaggs and Sharon K. Skaggs. She grew up in KCK and throughout her life lived in Paola, Osawatomie, and Topeka. Sherri was a member of the Red Hat Ladies while she lived in Topeka. She loved to crochet and cross stitch in her free time. When she wasn’t crocheting or cross stitching, Sherri also enjoyed listening to music, reading, and watching movies but her favorite thing to do was go shopping.

Sherri is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Leroy Lofton and Frances Golden Lofton; paternal grandparents, Norman Skaggs, Mary Siebert and Anita Skaggs; aunt, Betty Jewel Sager and uncle, Delbert Lee Lofton.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her dad, Joseph Amos Skaggs of Pleasanton, KS; mother, Sharon K. Skaggs of KCK; brothers, Steven L. Skaggs of Wichita, KS and Joseph W. Skaggs of KCK; half brother, Jason A. Skaggs of Columbia, IL. She also leaves behind aunts, uncles and many cousins.
