Sherry Anne Chase

Sherry graduated from St Mary College with a Social Work degree and worked at SRS until her retirement. She dearly loved family gatherings and spontaneous day trips and adventures with her children, grandchildren and anyone else who cared to tag along. Sherry loved reading and relaxing outdoors. She was a charter member of Oak Grove Christian Church in Kansas City Kansas.

Sherry was married to Robert Chase and leaves four children, Kim Bragdon (Kermit), Gary Hoglund (Mary), David Hoglund (Tammy) and Jeff Hoglund (JoAnn). She had three siblings Gary Bowdre, Janet Chase and Richard Bowdre. Eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren fill out her family along with nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws that loved her.

Sherry will be remembered for her unconditional love and acceptance of family and friends. Sherry was her authentic self and inspired many in the same spirit. She found the manner of persistent but gentle encouragement to assist others in being their best selves. Our world will be different without her.

The visitation will be from 4:00- 5:00 P.M. on May 11th, 2026, at Oak Grove Christian Church, located at 5703 Oak Grove Road, Kansas City, Kansas 66106. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 5:00 P.M.
