

Shirley Busey of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on July 7, 2021. She was 83 years old. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am-12:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 12:00 pm on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112. Shirley was born on February 2, 1939 to Calvin and Ruby Willis in Kansas City, Kansas. Born and raised in Wyandotte County, Shirley met the love of her life, Kenneth Busey, and the two were married on December 7, 1957. Together they had one daughter, Debra and their family was complete. She was then promoted to grandma to two grandsons whom she loved dearly, Zachary and Sean. Shirley was a devoted Christian and would spending time reading the Bible and praying, especially for her family. She was a fun loving, outgoing woman with a great sense of humor and loved to make others smile and laugh. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Gary Willis, Sonny Willis, and Irene (Beadie) Lynn.
Left to cherish her memory is her dear husband, Kenneth Busey of Kansas City, Kansas; daughter, Debra Cauthron of Lenexa, Kansas; her grandsons, both of Lenexa, Kansas; siblings, Marie Arnold of Independence, Missouri, Bob Willis of Neosho, Missouri, and Huey Willis of Raymore, Missouri; along with many dear friends.
