Shirley J. Mason

Shirley June (Kerby) Mason, 90, Bonner Springs, Kansas passed away May 29, 2017. Shirley was born to Alva and Lillie Kerby on October 23, 1926 in Bonner Springs, Kansas and lived her entire life in that area. Shirley's parents and grandparents were also residents of Bonner Springs.

Shirley was married to William Arthur Mason on April 30, 1950. She worked for Colgate Pamolive and stopped to raise her children. She then went on to work at First Christian Church from 1969 until her retirement.

Shirley was preceded in passing by her parents; husband William on February 2, 1965; son, Bill Mason; and eight siblings.

Survivors include: her children, Vickie (Paul) McEnroe of Basehor, Kansas and Debbie (Richard) Drennon of Basehor, Kansas; 4 grandchildren, Mike (Erin) Drennon, Heather (John) Dixon, Mark (Amy) McEnroe, and Jennifer (Stephen) Haake; 10 great grandchildren, Kailey, Kate, Sam, Tucker, Carson, Tyler, Collin, Charlie, Jackson and Alaina; and one brother, Loren (Helen) Kerby of Platte City, Missouri.

A Celebration of Shirley's Life will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11:00 AM at First Christian Church, 148 N. Nettleton, Bonner Springs, with a gathering for family and friends beginning at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to First Christian Church.
