Stacy Preble, 49, of Basehor Kansas, passed away on October 22, 2018 in her home surrounded by her loved ones. A visitation will be Friday, October 26th from 6:00-8:00pm at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCK. Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Saturday, October 27th at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Stacy was born on August 25th, 1969 in Kansas City Kansas to Charles and Sherry VanGosen. She graduated from Schlagle High School in 1987. Stacy met Todd in 1988 and after 3 short months, he became the love of her life. They tied the knot on September 1st, 1989, they began their family in 1990 when they had their first child Dakota. Soon after in 1993 they had their second child Chey. Stacy became part of the Walmart family in 1990 and has been there for 28 years as the department manager of electronics. She enjoyed cooking, camping, and spending time with her family. She was a diehard Denver Broncos fan and enjoyed watching the games with her family. Stacy enjoyed being a home body with her husband Todd, her girls, grandkids and her mother. She also enjoyed the company of her dog Ziva and her cat Harley. Stacy was diagnosed with stage 3 c Ovarian cancer and fought her strongest battle for a year and a half and even though she fought hard, she lost her battle but never ever gave up.
Stacy was proceeded in death by her grandparents and her father Charles VanGosen.
Stacy is survived by her husband, Todd Preble; her mother, Sherry VanGosen; her daughters, Dakota Preble (Bruce Bess, Jr.) and Cheyenne Preble (Kirtis Davenport); her grandkids, Harmony and Bruce "Tre" Bess, III; her sister Shelly Wesselmann (Eric Slaughter); her nieces Kasey Harp, Samantha, Erin and Shelby Wesselmann; as well as other relatives and many friends.
