

Terre, 64, passed away October 4, 2015. A private inurnment will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to The American Cancer Society, by mailing donations to 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri 64105 or online at www.cancer.org/donate.
Terre was born December 7, 1950 in Kansas City, Kansas to Robert and Geraldine (Hawkins) Tanney. He graduated from Piper High School in 1968 and attended Kansas City Kansas Community College. Terre served in the United States Army Reserve National Guard as a Sergeant from 1969 to 1976. On July 31, 1981, Terre married Erika Ramberger. Together, they had two children, Christopher and Kristin.
Terre worked for Simmons Gun Specialties for 40+ years. He was a member of the Kansas Rifle Association, Ducks Unlimited and a lifetime member of the NRA. In his free time, Terre loved to go duck hunting, fishing and enjoyed competitive shooting.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, aunt and uncle. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Erika; son, Christopher and wife Rachel; daughter, Kristin and husband Brett Cloud; grandchildren, Deegan Tanney, Luke Cloud and Tip Cloud as well as sister-in-law, Ursula and husband Doug Rice.
