Terrie Sue Shively of Bellevue, Nebraska passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Terrie was born on August 9, 1945, in Kansas City, Kansas. She graduated from Wyandotte High School where she met her forever sweetheart, Darrell Shively. Darrell and Terrie were married for 48 years and were separated by Darrell's death. Terrie died 14 years to the day after Darrell, a sweet ending to their earthly love story.
Terrie was often described as sunshine, peacemaker, and fun! She was an artist, librarian and a realtor. She was most proud of being a wife, mom and grandma. She was highly involved in her children's lives and activities, and her family was everything!
Terrie was proceeded in death by her husband Darrell, her parents James and Norma Stewart, her grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Terrie is survived by her 3 children, Darrell Shively II (Laura), Lorna Cassell (Scott), and Jim Shively (Tammy); 8 grandchildren, Casie, Dakota, Hunter, Hayden, Caitie, Joshua, Austin, and Carson; and 2 great-grandchildren, Anara and Colsen.
A service will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 701 N. 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas, on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 11AM with a visitation beginning at 10AM. Please join the family for a luncheon immediately following the service. A private graveside service will begin at 1:30 PM.
