Thomas Lester Thurston

Thomas Lester Thurston, 67, of Prairie Village, Kansas, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2015. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 11, 2015. Visitation will proceed from 10:00-11:00 AM Friday. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens located in Kansas City, Kansas. Memorials may be made to Kansas University Comprehensive Cancer Center Designation Account (Research and Education), 4125 Rainbow Boulevard, Suite 300, Kansas City, Kansas 66103.

Tom was born March 28, 1948, in Parsons, Kansas to Charles and Annette Thurston. He was a graduate of Rockhurst University and Washburn Law. He was an Attorney at Dwyer, Dykes and Thurston LC for many years retiring in 2009. He is survived by his wife, Cathie Ann Thurston, two children; Joseph Thurston, Charles Thurston, sister; Una (Joe) Bailey, brother; Bud (Karen) Thurston and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
