Walter William Edward Witt

Walter William Edward Witt, 76, Kansas City, Kansas passed away April 30, 2017. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Friday, May 5, 2017 with a graveside service at 2pm, Saturday, May 6, 2017, both at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kansas.

Walter was born November 6, 1940 in Brumley, Missouri to Richard and Altha Witt. He grew up in Kansas City, Kansas and attended Wyandotte High School.

He worked as a Dental Technician for over 50 years, retiring from Steve's Precision Dental Lab in 2007.

Walter was married to Alice Marie Christ on July 22, 1970 and she preceded him in passing on December 16, 1992.

Walter accepted Christ and was baptized Southern Baptist. He was very laid back and generous and his sense of humor always made people smile.

He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Jessie Forbes, Frances Roberts and Wilma Dean Terrell; brothers, Junior Witt, Stanley David Witt, Richard Witt, Jack Witt and Abradale Witt.

Survivors include his daughters, Julie (Danny) Gunter and Cindy Cruit; grandchildren, Jessic Millman, Anthony Cruit and Joshua Cruit; brother and sister, Robert Witt and Georgia Knight; and many nieces and nephews.

Walter was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. Though he will be greatly missed, his life is cause for celebration and we will forever treasure the times we shared with him.
