

Weada Loraine “Tincy” LaFollette (Bingham), age 77, passed away on January 15, 2024, in Kansas City, Kansas. She was born on March 4, 1946, in Hanford, California. Tincy was the most loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She was known as “Nani” to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Tincy had a nurturing spirit and often acted as a surrogate mother to those in need of extra care.
Tincy is survived by her husband William “Bill” LaFollette of Kansas City, KS, and her sibling Mike Bingham of Dyer, AR. She survived her children as well: daughter Chris and husband Steve Sanders of Cowgill, MO; son Bob and wife Susan Eickhoff of Kansas City, KS; son Brett and wife Jessica LaFollette of Kansas City, MO; son Greg and wife Amy LaFollette of Kansas City, KS. Tincy was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Eldon and Lona Bingham as well as her siblings: John Bingham, James Bingham, Martha Bingham, Robert Bingham, Ginger Hines, and Wayne Bingham.
Tincy attended Leflore High School and later worked for H & R Block. Throughout her life she held various positions including being a lunch lady at Whittier Elementary School, working in the deli at Price Chopper, Deluxe Check Printers and she was a newspaper carrier for the Kansas City Star and Times.
Tincy was a member of London Heights Baptist Church where she found solace and community.
In her free time, Tincy loved nothing more than taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved and cherished every moment she spent with them.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, January 20th, 2024, at 12:00pm at London Heights Baptist Church, located at 734 N 78th St, Kansas City, Kansas 66112.
