A visitation for Dee will be held Friday, April 4, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Chapel Hill - Butler FH, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, KS 66112, followed by a graveside at 1:00 PM at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gardens @ Barry Road. 8300 NW Barry Road, Kansas City, MO 64068 with Zeretta in the Memo Line.
Mrs. Maharg-West was born April 27, 1948 in Kansas City, Missouri. The daughter of Thomas and Leota (Stretch) Maharg who preceded her in death. She was married to Ernie West.
She retired from AMC Theaters and was a Missouri Master Gardener having served as President of the Northland Garden Club for over 20 years. Her pastimes include: Gardening, reading, Theater and Traveling. Dee loved her puppies, family and her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Ernest West. Daughter Tina Helberg and grandson Conner Verhulst and granddaughter Alexis Verhulst. Daughter Lori Hallauer and grandchildren Nathan and Sarah. Son Scott West. Grandson James West. Daughter Jennifer Fitzgerald and grandchildren Charolette Mazur and Colter Mazur. Son Jason West and grandchildren Cameron and Kennedy. Sister Sharon Wilmot and nephew Bruce Wilmot.
Serving as pallbearers are Conner Verhulst, Scott West, Jason West, James West, Cameron West, Austin Gordon, Mike Helberg and Bobby Verhulst.
