

Albert Ernest Rittermeyer, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 7, 2015 at Valley Manor Nursing Home, Excelsior Springs, MO. Memorial services are 1:00 PM Saturday, March 14th at the Independence Christian Center, 20201 Valley View Rd, Blue Springs, MO 64015. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggest to NorthCare Hospice.
Albert was born September 24, 1929 in Kansas City and was a life-long area resident. He served in the Naval Reserves. Albert worked in the lithography industry for 36 years and was a member of GCIU Local #235M. As a youth he was a Boy Scout and later served as an adult leader. He was also a warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He was Little League Baseball coach and a mentor to many. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Rittermeyer; son, Michael Rittermeyer; grandson, Jason Rittermeyer; great grandson, Noah Rittermeyer; and great granddaughters, Anna and Sage Rittermeyer.
Survivors include his 3 sons, Mark (MaryAnn) Rittermeyer, Mathew (Linda) Rittermeyer, and Marshall (Shorty) (Robin Ford) Rittermeyer; grandchildren, April (Kurt) Stephenson, Gary Rittermeyer, Traci (Robert) Riley, Phillip (Hollie) Rittermeyer, Nikki (Matt) Snyder, Vinny (Tara) Wilkins and Cody Rittermeyer; and great grandchildren, Derek (Lizzie) Stephenson, Tiffany Stephenson, Sarah Stephenson, Madalyn Riley, Loralai Rittermeyer, Jonas Rittermeyer, Natalee Snyder, Megan Snyder, Emma Snyder, Vincent Wilkins, Anthony Wilkins, Giovanni Wilkins, Jake Rittermeyer, and Courtney Rittermeyer.
