Alejandro Zaragoza “Alex” Peña, 47, passed away on September 22, 2021. He was born January 14, 1974 to Zaragoza “Tommy” Peña and Sally Ann (Tinoco) Peña. Alex grew up on the Westside of KCMO. He moved to Kansas City, Kansas in middle school and attended Washington High School, where he met several of his lifelong friends.
He married Cheri (Hawk) Peña in September 2010, and moved his family to West Texas. There, he was employed as a CDL driver with the oil industry. Alex was preceded in death by his wife Cheri in 2013. He stayed in Texas to raise his daughters. Texas is where he lived the last 14 years, but Kansas City was his home. Alex was also preceded in death by his mother Sally Ann (Tinoco) Peña.
Alex was loved by many friends and family, leaving behind his 2 daughters, Cherise 17, Catalina 15, and 2 step children Cevin and Caraline Perez. His memories will be cherished and he will be dearly missed by all.
Visitation will be held at McGilley Memorial Chapel-Midtown on Friday, October 15th from 5pm-7pm followed by a prayer and memorial service.
