Alfred L. Moeller

Alfred L. (Fred) Moeller, 73, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Sept. 6, 2014. Visitation will be Sept. 11 at 10 am at St. Thomas More Catholic Church; funeral Mass to follow at 11 am. Burial will be Sept. 12 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, IA. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Fred was born Dec. 12, 1940 in Salem, IA. He had a career in commercial construction, retiring from JE Dunn. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, where he served as an usher. He also volunteered at St. Joseph Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Anna Moeller and his sister Delores Brown. He is survived by his wife Jan Welsh Moeller and family, Mary, Catherine, Theresa, James, Annette, Joanne, Laurie, and Kristin; grandchildren, Margeaux, Megan, Brian, Katy, Matthew, Alex, Nicholas, Anna, Nadia and William; and siblings Patricia Bonser, Mary Jo Horras and Virginia Schwartz.
