Al grew up in New Orleans, moved with his family to Salt Lake City, and then located to the Overland Park area where he made his home for the last 50 years.
Al graduated from the University of Kansas and was a proud Jayhawk, indeed. He was also a loyal fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Royals, Sporting KC and of course, his LSU Tigers.
He loved attending concerts, trying all the local restaurants and drinking establishments and kept detailed records documenting all his outings. Knuckleheads, Levee and Boulevard Brewery were among his favorites. We encourage you to “raise one” to Al the next time you are at a local bar or restaurant.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 18, 6:00 – 8:00pm at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Rd., Kansas City, MO 64145. Memorial services will be held Friday, August 19, 1:30pm also at McGilley State Line Chapel with burial to follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, KS 66210.
