Alice A. Simpson Cunningham, 96, of Grandview, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010. Services will be Monday, October 18, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery South. Alice was born July 8, 1914 in Freeman, Missouri, daughter of Edward and Dolly (Wilson) Jones. She retired from Bendix after working as a cashier in the cafeteria for many years. She was a member of Blue Ridge Baptist Temple. She was preceded in death by her husband Bennie S. Simpson, her son Benjamin Jones Simpson, and second husband Forrest Cunningham. Survivors include daughter-in-law Linda Lou Simpson Nissen Callahan, Kansas City, Missouri, grandchildren Lucinda Hall (Darin), Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Rochell Terril (Ryan), Lake Quivira, Kansas, Scott E. Nissen (Sara), Leawood, Kansas, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Alice leaves us with many special memories.
