

Alice Marie Fowler (nee Fahrenbrink), 86, of Prairie Village, Kansas, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and nurse, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2010 in Kansas City. Alice had lived in the metropolitan area since 1955. Alice was known for her pure joy in sharing goodies and hand-made treasures with her family. She delighted in cooking and sharing her time and talents with each one. She was a Registered nurse and over the years was a caregiver to thousands. Alice was born August 17, 1924 in Bunceton, Missouri, daughter of Julius John and Hilda Louise (Schleving) Fahrenbrink. She married Carl G. Fowler in 1946, in Boonville, Missouri. She is survived by her two sisters Bonnie Murphy and Joyce Bruns; her three children Carla Young (John), Mark Fowler (Debi), and Steve Fowler (Karen); eight grandchildren Allison, Adam and Andrew Young, Lindsey Becker (Jack), Megan Glendenning (Carl), Kate Harris (Joel), Ashley and Maggie Fowler; and six great-grandchildren. The family will celebrate her life on Friday, December 10, with visitation at 10:00 followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Interment in Mt.
