Alice D. Hoffman

Heaven has gained an angel. Alice Hoffman, 90, passed away May 31, 2026. Beloved wife of John, and a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas. She graduated from St. Teresa of Avila nursing school (now Avila University). She worked as a floor duty nurse, recovery room nurse, case manager, and in a urology office. She also volunteered at St. Joseph Medical Center for many years. She was kind and generous with a fun-loving sense of humor. She was always available to help family and friends in need.

Alice is predeceased by her parents, Russel and Nancy; her daughter, Karen; her sister, Maureen; her brother, John; nephew, Blake; niece, Lisa; brothers-in-law, Jim, John and Robert; sisters-in-law, Ursula and Philippina; and son-in-law, Steve.

She is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Julie; her grandchildren, Liz, Evan, and Sarah; nieces, Joyce (Mike) and Janice (Scott); and nephew, Sam (Kris).

Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3rd at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO with burial to follow in Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO.

In order to celebrate Alice's life, those attending the funeral are welcomed to wear the color of your choice.
