Alice Lee Hoffman

Alice Lee Hoffman, 96, passed away May 26, 2016 at NorthCare Hospice House. Funeral services are 2:00 PM Sunday, May 29th at the McGilley Antioch Chapel where a visitation will begin at 1:00 PM. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 31st in Kerns-Freeman Cemetery, Buchanan County, MO. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to NorthCare Hospice House.

Alice was born December 5, 1919 in Troy, KS and had lived in Kansas City since 1942. For 4 and a half years taught school in Doniphan County, KS and later worked at Sears Roebuck & Co before becoming a full-time homemaker. She married Raymond Hoffman on July 22, 1949. They are members of the North Cross United Methodist Church. Alice loved spending the winter months in Arizona and enjoyed square dancing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edson and Bertha (Guion) Kasselhute and her sister and brother-in-law, Veda and Oliver Propheter.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Raymond; and a son, Martin Hoffman and his wife, Debi; and 2 grandchildren, Alek and Ryan.
